Gunnin For That #1 Spot

Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys & Bobbito just released this film about the notorious All-Star basketball game at the Mecca of Basketball: Rucker Park. I saw it over the weekend, and it is definitely worth the watch, especially for the die hard basketball fans who love good streetball.

Soundtrack by Bobbito, featuring banging beats from Hova, Nas, and MIA as the backdrop to 17 year-olds with size 20 kicks (no joke) windmilling and alley ooping. Included in the film are some of the top draft picks from this year, including Kevin Love (#4) and Michael "The Beast" Beasley (#2). These guys weren't even drafted for college yet and they were clearly better than most.

Qwel's new album
The New Wine dropped today. It's next in a long series of solo albums that feature a new producer each time around. You've gotta open your mind for this kind of esoteric material if you haven't already--but guaranteed once you do, it's straight prolific.

We all gettin smarter, but no one gettin wiser.
^ Straight up.
