A Tribe Called Quest / Represent, Represent

The almighty J.Period has put together a near flawless compilation/remix project of all of the classic Tribe Called Quest joints since forever, including complete new verses from Blu, Talib Kweli, Dres of Black Sheep, De La Soul, Stevie Wonder, Questlove...I can't even go on this is so jam packed with everyone and anyone who means anything to my childhood.

You already heard the De La joint which was completely off of the meat hinges, and here are two more if you still dont believe me, which by now, is fruitless:

BLU - JAZZ (TRIBE TRIBUTE REMIX)

TALIB KWELI - YOUTHFUL (TRIBE TRIBUTE REMIX)

And the entire Tribe Called Quest x J.Period mixtape.

SIDE NOTE: Speaking of Talib Kweli, I just read an interview where he confirms that he is currently in the lab with Hi-Tek working on the new Reflection Eternal album, and has nearly half of it done already. Like Catholic priests Hip-hop is feeling itelf right now...

Blu on the "Jazz" track sounds absolutely heavenly. I really can't put into words how perfectly he fits that track.

Definitely. I wish it was longer.

And Zilla, I need some recommendations for good bars/clubs to go out to in Philly. Ive been there two weekends in a row and we have a good spot to go to, but I need more suggestions. Any chill places with an interesting crowd (preferably good hip-hop/reggae/soul DJS too) are what Im looking for.

Thanks kid.

hey Dukes - one of my favorite spots is Fluid Nightclub. ?uestlove spins there on certain Saturdays and even if he's not there, the place still drops really good music. I think you'll dig the vibe.
