1st Saturdays at The Brooklyn Museum

If there is anything worth doing the 1st Saturday of every month from now until the apocalypse, it is dancing your funky ace off at the Brooklyn Museum with DJ Spinna and Rich Medina. There is nothing like an art museum filled with 300 music heads sweating it up to It Takes Two with every bone in their body. This footage courtesy of my man Dallas Penn, who rolled on up opening night this weekend for James Brown and Fela Kuti night.

This is the heaviest event in NYC these days, except for the fact that The Roots recently announced regular performances at Highline Ballroom beginning in two weeks for 10 measly bones.

NY we go hard.
