Sometimes all of the best events in NYC converge on one night. Last night put me in a tough spot. These were the options:
1) a Bon Iver show at Town Hall
2) the DJ Premier interview with Peter Rosenberg at The Y
3) a private screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
4) a Stones Throw party
...the list goes on.
Luckily the entire DJ Premier interview was caught on tape, because it was dope. Premier is as good of a storyteller as he is a beatmaker, and Rosenberg is the perfect interviewer, per usual. Best quote: "Hip-hop, porn, sports...all of that is relative."

I actually wasnt at this event, went to another show instead.
But he does discuss his love for Guru and tell a couple of Gangstarr related stories in these videos.
