Staplecrops has developed a "rubric that estimates the education level needed to understand each rhyme in a hip-hop song, as well as rate the artistic sophistication employed through the metaphors, similes, cultural references...and overall pattern of each rhyme."
Based on this there is a determination of both the education and reading level a given MC and his fan base. A score of 0 is the equivalent of illiterate while a 20 is a post-graduate degree. Put 50 up against Rakim and witness the inevitable.
