Cage Kennylz About To Drop

Most people don't care about this as much as I do. But Cage is one of those cats who's career is growing tenfold as he gets older and that's a rare thing in the world of hip-hop, with cats like Kweli who hit the apex a little too early to move forward.

Not the best quality video but this track sounds completely monstrous with El-P on the boards. Just a guess, but Im going to say that this is Cage's best album yet.

maybe it's just me but i always thought his newer stuff got softer and softer, and was definitely not his best material

mersh? 4 letter word? pretty much all of among the sleep, i think is miles ahead of what he's been doing the last 3 or 4 years...

All of his old material was a lot harder, Movies For The Blind is always going to be my shit.

Even though the new stuff could be seen as soft, frankly I would bore quickly with him talking about being locked in Stoney Lodge attacking nurses for the last few albums. If he did he wouldn't be growing.

I have the same sentiments about Black Thought and The Roots, and most people disagree with me (usually severely). I think those are cats who keep it moving, even if the albums aren't as solid as old Roots albums, Im always impressed with the growth in sound and content.

I like his old stuff, but it gets old quick. I love that he's actually trying to progress, and switch it up. Songs like Stripes and Good Morning NY on Hell's Winter beat out anything put out on Movies. Tho, I've always been a fan of Palko.

if anyone knew a thing about his style of rap it is in no way getting soft or softer i also can agree w/ DUKES for saying Movies ... is the hottest joint C.A.G.E. made but his music is progressing in the way his and all of our lives are. In no way at all is he soft he's just not talking about dust, kitty and ecstasy in every bar like his older stuff like on the songs from 12 or 13 years ago. Just like we have evolved so has cage. I personally think DUKES is the only one of you cats that really knows about and appreciates cages music like i do and the other true fans i know do. "THE TOWER OF BABBLE 1 and 2" are hot as f*ck. what you think dukes?

I like this guy either way. People want to blame him for what we all do...grow. Well, not everyone grows actually, and if you`re not growing what`s the point of life? I used to love Necro as a young teen, but how many times can I hear about rape, murder and drugs? Yeah it was cool when I was smoking dips in train stations and bombing but now I need music that shows what happens after all that. I appreciate it all though, new or old.
