I know this list idea is a bit played out but this is purely masturbatory (isn't a blog anyway?)
Best album of 2008 goes to Invincible, new video for my favorite track of the year, Sledgehammer, above. You know that when a white girl takes best hip-hop album of the year and a black man is president, we are living in strange days my friends.

2005: Kanye West - Late Registration
2006: Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor

Nice list. I never really got into Black Sheep and can't figure out their appeal.
What about your top list for just this year, so far? My favs so far this year are Invincible, Kid Cudi, Flying Lotus, Lil Wayne, James Pants and Tanya Morgan.
Here's my top 20(just hiphop, sorta in order)
1. Wu Tang - 36 Chambers
2. Slick Rick - Behind Bars
3. Outkast - ATLiens
4. Method Man - Tical
5. Big - Ready to Die
6. Visionaries - We Are the Ones
7. Organized Konfusion - Stress
8. KRS One - Return of the Boombap
9. Beatnuts - Street Level
10. Gang Starr - Hard to Earn
11. Fugees - The Score
12. Diamond D - Blunts Stunts and Hiphop
13. Dialated Peoples - Expansion Team
14. Keith Murray - The Most...
15. Aesop Rock - Labor Days
16. Joell Ortiz - The Brick
17. Swollen Members - Balance
18. Jay-Z - MTV Unplugged
19. NWA - Straight Outta Compton
20. Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly
supreme clientele dropped in 2000!
I'm 9/10 with you. A couple I'd definitely change on your list:
1993: Mobb Deep - Imfamous
2000: Quasimoto - The Unseen
2005: J Dilla - Donuts (you picked "Shining" over donuts?!?!?!)
Did you forget Illmatic?
Dukes....u forgot Illmatic ? wow...i feel u on main ingredient...solid choice..ready to die...but son, no illmatic..shame...however can I get some Jay electronica..some new shit ?!?! Son is the truth
I did leave off Illmatic on purpose and instead chose OB4CL. I know everyone and their mother thinks Illmatic is the best thing ever created but the purple tape was far more a part of those days for me. I think I broke that tape I played it so much.
I agree on the 1993 Mobb Deep Infamous choice, which was a close second behind Midnight Marauders.
Best albums of 2008...I gotta get off work and drift through the iTunes because honestly not much is sticking out to me right now. I would say Wale's A Mixtape About Nothing gets the most play from me.
And woops about Supreme Clientele. That album has to be on the list and so does Reflection Eternal so maybe I cheated (?).
i cant believe u think "get back" is best of 2007.... not blu & exile! get back.. u really cant put "get back" without having "the listening" on the same list... NOT EVEN CLOSE!
I stand by that decision more than anything ever in my life.
AND I say Getback is better than The Listening.
I could listen to ExtraHard 5 million times and not get sick of it.
GETBACK is better than THE LISTENING!!!?!?! are u crazy sir? try a re-listen
