The Wire was possibly the most delicately written television show in history ... with such attention to detail and honesty that it was unbearable for most people I know. In comparison to even The Sopranos it was possibly one of the best shows ever on television. As you know the show ended this week with a brilliant finale, and if you were a fan, I highly suggest reading the farewell letter creator David Simon wrote to the fans. Very on point.
Definitely a sad moment to not see this coming back next year.
